President Jonathan Loses Younger Sister

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has lost his younger sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei, the presidency announced Sunday evening.

Presidential spokesman Reuben Abati said in a statement that Mrs. Jonathan-Olei passed away earlier on Sunday at a hospital in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa - which is the President's home state-  after a brief illness.


She was 52 years old.
